What type of document that I need to present for verification during the warranty service?

Remarks:

  1. The above fee is for reference only and it is only applicable to Shun Hing group authorized Hong Kong Official goods. The On-site Service Fee is not including parts replacement fee, particular repair item and additional fee (if applicable).
  2. Paid by cash or crossed cheque (payable to “Shun Hing Electric Service Centre Ltd”) to Shun Hing representative while each service is completed.
  3. After the machine is checked, the on-site service fee & repair fee will be charged even though the client declines to have it further repaired, or the machine is irreparable due to the unavailability of the required parts as a result of the product obsolescence.
  4. After the on-site inspection and determined the cause of the defect, our technician will quote you the repair fee and parts replacement cost.
  5. If the machine requires workshop service, transportation fee will be charged. Product in the inaccessible location for truck, customer will be responsible for transporting the product to the urban area for our take back service (eg . Hong Kong outlying islands, restricted area). If the building without lift or lift that cannot reach the delivery address or carry an appliance using hand cart where truck access is unavailable, additional delivery surcharge will be applied. If the Discovery Bay Tunnel is used for repair parts/material transportation or workshop service, the customer shall pay the Discovery Bay Tunnel Fee.
  6. An on-site and repair service surcharge will be levied if the machine is a parallel import goods. If the machine is irreparable due to the unavailability of the required parts, the related on-site and repair fee should still be applied.
  7. Travelling surcharge HK$220 per service order will be levied if service is required at Hong Kong outlying islands, remote area or restricted area (excluding Tung Chung Town Centre and Discovery Bay).
  8. Above service charges are subject to change without prior notice.
  9. In the event of any dispute, our Company reserves the right to make the final decision.

If the electrical appliance is within warranty period, the customer is required to present the Product Warranty Card with the Official Invoice issued by the dealers of HK and Macau to our service station staff for carry-in warranty service. If the official invoice/the warranty card cannot be present or the warranty period is ended, repair fee and repair parts fee will be charged. Paid fee is non-refundable
  3. For the carry-in repair service, please pay the Carry-in Service Fee by Cash or Credit Card (VISA / MASTER) in advance while service registration. This Carry-in Service fee is non-refundable. After the repair is completed, please collect the product at our company and pay the repair fee by Cash, Credit Card (VISA / MASTER) or Octopus (No Add Value Service).
  4. Customer is responsible to deliver the appliance with the accessories like charger, power cable to our service center for the carry-in repair service (No reservation needed), and to pick up the repaired product from the same location.   5. Parts replacement cost will be quoted after the inspection by our technician and determined the cause of the defect. The carry-in service fee is non-refundable even though the client declines to have it further repaired after inspection.
  6. If the age of the appliance is 7 years or above, some repair parts may be discontinued. If the product cannot be repaired due to parts discontinued, the carry-in service fee should still apply. All fees are non-refundable.

  • Window Type Air Conditioner Standard Installation Service is only applicable on newly purchased and not installed Panasonic, Rasonic or Froster window type air conditioner
  • This price list is for reference purpose only. Price will be quoted separately under special circumstances. All the additional works and charges are subject to our installation technician’s final confirmation during the on-site installation service.
  • Other additional works not included on the above price list will be separately quoted. (Eg. Submission of Certificate of Completion of Minor Works MW05, scaffolding fee).
  • An air-conditioner can only install on a stable window sill or stand with sufficient space.
  • The installation location of air conditioner is decided by the customer, who is obligated to obtain the permit from co-owner of property, owner’s corporations management office, building management company, HK Housing Authority, etc. on the right to use the common part comply with the obligations of the Building Deed of mutual covenant. The customer should confirm the installation details with our installation technician before work. If there is any dispute on the installation location and need to change the location after the installation works starts, additional dismantle and re-installation fee will be charged to the customer.
  • 12-month warranty is provided for the installation work (Start from the installation complete date). The warranty includes (i) Air conditioner aluminum frame (newly installed); (ii) Silicone to seal the glass. The warranty does not include: scaffolding and safety racks, which must be provided by the customer; Problems caused by poor maintenance (such as water leakage due to insufficient regular maintenance of the air-conditioner drain pipe)
  • Window Type Air Conditioner Standard Installation Service does not cover reinstallation, dismantling, transportation or setup of any accessories/exterior equipment of the product.
  • The power supply/ socket provided by the customer must comply the Code of Practice for Electricity (Wiring) Regulations。
  • Additional Installation work must arrange and complete with the standard installation work. Otherwise, an additional surcharge will be applied.
  • The customer need to present the Product Warranty Card together with the official purchase invoice issued by the dealers of Hong Kong or Macau to our technician for verification.

Firmware Update Procedure on Panasonic JX 700 / 800 Series TV

Please note that Firmware Update is supported via the Internet only (Network connection is required).  During update, your TV will automatically reboot a few times and it will take about 10 minutes to complete.

 

  1. Turn-on the TV.
  2. Press [Menu] button to display Main Menu
  3. Select [Settings] > [Device Preference] > [About] > [System update]
  4. Press OK button.
  5. “System update is available” message will be displayed if update is available and download the new firmware

Panel Maintenance of OLED TV
Ans.

Image retention on screen is not considered as malfunction when any still parts of the image have been displayed for a long period. Please perform the pre-installed panel maintenance function in a regular basis to prevent image retention. During the panel maintenance, please avoid touching and exerting any pressure on the screen (e.g. wiping the screen etc.)

 

There are two types of the panel maintenance as following

 

1) Normal maintenance:  Normal maintenance program will automatically starts when turning the TV off with the remote control. During the panel maintenance the screen turns to orange.  It will takes approx. 10 minutes. After finished, the TV will automatically turn off (Standby mode)

 

2) Regular maintenance: When regular maintenance is necessary, the massage appears on the screen after turning the TV off with the remote control. Please follow the on-screen instruction to start the regular maintenance program. During the panel maintenance, the screen turns to orange and a white horizontal line appears on the screen for a while.  This is not a malfunction.  The regular maintenances will takes approx. 80 minutes.  After finished, the TV will automatically turn off (Standby mode)

Aneroid battery (Dry battery)
How to classify Aneroid Battery (Dry battery)?
Ans.

Aneroid battery (Dry battery) can be classified into Carbon Zinc battery, Alkaline battery and Nikckel Hydrogen battery.   

 

What are the differences between different types of Aneroid battery (Dry battery) and their application?
Ans.

Carbon Zinc battery is recommended for devices with low power consumption and non-long-term use (usually takes a long time to replace battery).  For example, remote control, clock, radio and other low power devices.

 

Alkaline battery is recommended for devices with large power consumption and long term use (replace battery more often). For example, electric shaver, wireless mouse and remote control toys, etc.  

 

Nikckel Hydrogen battery is recommended for “Heavy Continuous Drain” and frequently used devices (more environmentally friendly and rechargeable). For example, digital camera, external flashes, and remote control toys, etc.

Pre-cautions while using Aneroid battery (Dry battery)?
Ans.

To avoid leakage of battery. It is recommended to remove battery if it is not use for a long time.  

 

Thermo Ventilator
How is the remote control paired with the Panasonic FV-23BWN2H / FV-23BW2H Thermo Ventilator?
Ans.

The remote control must be paired with the Thermo Ventilator before use. Within one minute after the Thermo Ventilator is powered on, press and hold the buttons “HEAT” and “VENT.” on the remote control for 3 seconds to complete the pairing process. When the pairing is successful, three beeps will be heard.

 

How is the remote control paired with the KDK 23BWBH / 23BWDBH Thermo Ventilator?
Ans.

The remote control must be paired with the Thermo Ventilator before use. Within one minute after the Thermo Ventilator is powered on, press and hold the buttons “HEAT” and “VENT.” on the remote control for 3 seconds to complete the pairing process. When the pairing is successful, three beeps will be heard.

Disconnect the unit from the telephone line and connect the line to a known working telephone. If the working telephone operates properly, contact our service personnel to have the unit repaired. If the working telephone does not operate properly, contact your telephone company.

The printing quality is poor.
Ans.
  • The other party sent a faint document. Ask them to send a clearer copy of the document.
  • Some paper has instructions recommending which side to print on. Try turning the paper over.
  • You may have used paper with a cotton and/or fibre content that is over 20%, such as letterhead or resume paper.
  • The remaining toner is low. Replace the toner cartridge.
  • We recommend you replace the drum unit every third time you replace the toner cartridge. To check the drum life and quality.
  • The toner save mode of feature #79 is on.
I cannot make and receive calls.

  • The power cord or telephone line cord is not connected. Check the connections.
  • If you used a splitter to connect the unit, remove the splitter and connect the unit to the wall jack directly. If the unit operates property, check the splitter.
  • Connect the handset cord and the telephone line cord, then the power cord.
  • When the power is turned on for the first time, the unit will print some basic information.

Toner Empty error cannot be cleared. (KX-P7305/P7310)

When you print with very low duty (less than 5%) and the toner page count gets to its life end (3,000 pages/Starter Toner, 6,000 pages/Option Toner), the printer stops printing and shows "Toner Empty" error even though the toner low is not detected by toner empty sensor. (refer to 5-1 Toner Empty Control Method) In this case " Toner Empty" error cannot be cleared by just replacing with new toner cartridge because the printer is not detecting low toner by toner empty sensor. To clear the error please install the drum unit only without the toner cartridge once, then install the new toner cartridge. This is mentioned in the Supplement that comes with the Option Toner Cartridge.

Having paper dust collect on or near the CCD or CIS can cause a line to appear on the digitized image. To remove this line, you will need to clean the rollers and the lens. Also, using compressed air will blow away any loose particulars such as paper shavings or paper dust.

How often should I clean the scanner paper feed rollers?

To ensure optimal scanning performance, the paper feed rollers should be cleaned when 20,000 sheets or more are fed into the unit. In an environment where NCR paper is used, it is recommended that the paper feed rollers are cleaned on a daily basis. NCR paper contains chemicals that cause rollers to deteriorate at an accelerated rate, requiring roller replacement much sooner than scheduled. Daily cleaning of the paper feed rollers with isopropyl alcohol will help to prolong the life of the rollers in this harsh environment.
